Functionably Happy… A lifestyle blog that helps you get into the habit of happiness.

As a professional photographer, I've been whisked away to hundreds of places to witness life being lived in many ways. Seeing all these differences, I realized that the world goes on and on and on, and I'm just a "character" (for lack of a better word) in the cast of life, no more right or wrong, no better or worse than anyone, just my unique self as is everyone.

This shift in perspective helped me let go of frantically striving for success in the traditional ways - status or financial, and simply strive for happiness. And with happiness, enough money has followed.

I'm here to make the most of every day, for no other reason than I feel happiest when engaging in challenging tasks, learning about new things, entertaining my child-like wonder, and working towards making it all happen.

And it's a documented fact, people are happiest when in pursuit of a goal, immersed in a focused task, and actively overcoming challenges.

We, like our favorite plants, bloom in different places at different times. And like plants, we have different environments, unique nutrients and specific nurturing elements that help us bloom into full-form. Therefore, we each end up having our own ways of making the most out of life, so I hope this site and my lifestyle guidebook Got Sugar? will help you explore some possibilities.

Check in to learn how to spice up your routine, kick-up your week, shift your perspective and dare to wake up to the dream we call life. Or if you just want to stop by to read about things that I do to live a kick-butt life, cool! Keep coming by!

Why Functionably Happy?

To me, functionably is like a combination of function and capable; having sufficient skill or resources to function. And life isn’t just about functioning, it’s about feeling content with where you are each step of your functioning life, no matter where you're rooted.

Four Steps to Living Life Happy

My site, blog, books and motivational speaking engagements all focus on four goals:

  • -Being productive at work,
  • -Feeling strong physically,
  • -Understanding family and friend relationships, and
  • -Pursuing fun and challenging interests by feeling lighthearted, happy, amused and entertained.

Check in and get in the habit of happiness.
