Immersing into the meaning of each event or photography session is why I love being a photographer. Actively observing & capturing the essence of each subject fulfills me ~ whether it be a wedding, a family reunion or a corporate convention. I am single-focused, with the sole purpose of photographing an event or session with truth, with depth, with connection.
I began my career professionally photographing pieces of art to showcase on the web for the art gallery I co-owned with my ex husband back in 1996. Then after our divorce, I really dove into photography. My career encompasses all styles and platforms of photography – wedding, family, music, conventions, and includes work for The Hearst Corporation and Intuit, Inc. (makers of Quicken, Quickbooks and Turbo Tax.)
I immensely enjoy photography for its ability to document life as it is unfolding. It slow me down to inspect and ponder what I’m capturing, and challenges me to capture what’s unfolding in a unique and thought provoking way. Diving into the meaning of each project keeps me acutely aware of the present moment, and I work efficiently and creatively to capture the essence of each client.
